This series sure touched my life in more ways than one. Robert Townsend is a master of his craft and a true gentleman. I am happy to spread the word about this series. Are any DVD's going to be available at any point in the future I am wondering?

This is the kind of series we need on TV. But I'm glad I found it - and glad it's free, since I don't have cable and watch what I can via internet anyway. I'm HOOKED!!

I love the Season 1! I can't wait until Season 2 is available. All the characters are relatable. Kudos to Robert Townsend and the cast and crew.

Where is season 2? This is the best show I have seen in a long time.

Season 2 has started. The first episode of s02 is under the first 8 episodes. They aren't separated so if you don't know it you would think they are not there.

I would buy it, too! There are a lot of announcements of S02, but I can't find it anywhere... Wahhhhhhh... Merry Xmas, maybe the next season will be in our stockings!

Is there any way that this can be a series or buy them. This is so real it seem like it was me.

I am so happy to find this series. It is 4:00 am and I couldn't go to bed until I looked at all of season 1. I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I will definely get the word out and I cannot wait for season 2. When will it start? I love it.

WOW, MR. Townsend you are great, i am at work a lil late today because i have watched every episode and they were great, left me wanting more. i have never acted a day in my life but i would love to be apart of this . keep doing what you do and is there anything as a fan that we can do to get this to TV.

fantastic thats what we need. But we need alittle more victories every episode instead of the constant dispair. we already know what they are.

I want more and this needs to be on tv. I know what it's like to cry in the dark and pray, i loved the song, Holy Spirit that was playing in the episode. My sister took in my brothers children after their grandmother our mother died. the connections are so real!!!! Ihad a drunken uncle too! wow!

1st episode was so intriguing that it compelled me to watch all episodes before commenting. I didn't even want to answer the phone before I noticed it has a pause. I wish I had the opportunity to befriend my neighbors and have that extended family. Mr. Townsend this needs to be on tv. Look forward to season 2

I have to say, I tried to watch episode one several times. It's like when you want to read a book and if you can get past the first chapter, the rest is gravy. After I finally finished episode one, I could not wait for the next episode. When I got to "Thanksgiving", I was looking for more ... Robert, when will eposide 9 commence? And like Tyler Perry, are you looking for new talent? How does one get in your circle offering fresh talent?

This is a GREAT storyline executed by some of the finest actors around. You have a trifecta of legends, Leon, Mr. Williams and Mr. Roundtree. Brothers, you HAVE been missed? Monica, you know you rock it every time and never disappoint. Robert you have outdone yourself, there is no competition. I watched all 8 episodes in one day and I want more!!!!! Robert, you had me at "Hello". This is why I don't miss the TJMS

I heard Robert Townsend on Tom Joyner last week and I knew I had to check it out. I am so glad I did!! I absolutely loved the first episode!! Great Work, very realistic!! I heard about this website on the Tom Joyner Morning Show this morning when they interviewed Robert Townsend. I've only watched the first episode but I can relate to this show. A very good story line. Younger single parents (not just women) need to see themselves and others in a positive view and also be aware that a negative side does not have to be permanent. Just in the first episode, I saw the versatility in all the characters. When people get to gether, they learn from one another. Great Job. I'll be watching

i think that was wonderful when you have to put up with someone who acts totally different than everyone else. i think that Ocean is a wonderful mother and aunt. Her niece will grow up and thank her for everything that she has done.

I love the show! I think its incredible acting, writing, directing, and all of that!! Valery Ortiz (Lupe) was phenominal! the actess who plays Ocean, Monica Cahoun, i have followed for awhile and she always play a believable role...which I love! I hate over-actors, and Valery and Monica do an outstanding job of making great acting look easy, though its not, becasue they don't over do it. I vote for this to go to TV....perferably WB18, NBC, or Fox :)

Am I the only one who found this to be patronizing towards single mothers? I had high hopes for this program when I first came across it because I feel that single mothers are far too often portrayed in a stereotypical manner. Unfortunately, Diary of a Single Mom does nothing but adhere to these stereotypes.

Excellent first episode, the acting, direction and storyline was wonderful. I'm eagerly awaiting the next episode.
